Biography

Originally from West Yorkshire, Simon has lived in the Cheltenham area since qualifying from Nottingham Medical School in 1995. After gaining his GP certification in 2002, he worked as a senior ship’s doctor before joining the Gloucestershire Ambulance Service, specialising in pre-hospital medicine. As Medical Director at Concierge Medical, he mentors new doctors and leads the Hospital at Home and Palliative Care services. A keen sports fan and traveller, Simon has served as an expedition medic in locations such as Patagonia, Kilimanjaro, and Everest Base Camp, and also enjoys keeping hybrid chickens, including Silkies and Pekin bantams.
