Dr Matthew Gerlach

Dr Matt Gerlach joined Concierge Medical bringing with him a wealth of experience in general practice, urgent care, and sports and exercise medicine. He studied medicine at Norwich Medical School, following a first-class degree in English Literature from King’s College London, and went on to complete his GP training across a wide range of specialties including paediatrics, emergency medicine, obstetrics, dermatology, and elderly care.

Alongside his GP work, Matt has been team doctor for rugby clubs at Championship level, providing both pitch-side support and ongoing medical care. He also holds a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine and is a qualified health coach, reflecting his strong belief in lifestyle medicine and preventative healthcare.

Outside of medicine, Matt has a lifelong passion for sport, having competed nationally in swimming, athletics, and rugby, and he enjoys music, playing both violin and guitar. His approachable nature, broad experience, and focus on wellbeing make him a valued member of the Concierge Medical team.
