Ms Amita Lovett
Amita grew up and was educated in Mumbai, studying economics, law, finance and business at Bombay University. She has lived and worked in 3 continents with each of her 3 children born in a different country! Amita has had a hugely interesting and varied career, including working for British Embassies overseas, serving on the Board for the British Diplomatic Spouses Association, the British Council teaching English, and latterly, on the finance side helping startups and early stage venture businesses in London.
Amita has always had an active hands-on interest in charitable work in the various countries she has lived in. Some of the projects she has led- establishing a charity to run a literacy camp with digital education for young girls in Rajasthan, supporting abandoned children with basic food and shelter, encouraging computer learning for street children, and teaching refugees simple English.
Amita recently moved from London to Warwick with her husband, to be closer to one of her daughters. She enjoys walking, hiking, tennis, trying to tame some woodland she has recently acquired, and the company of friends and family. She is very much looking forward to imminent grand-motherhood!
