NURSE PRESCRIBER/PRACTICE NURSE – COTSWOLDS – Chipping Norton

We are recruiting an enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated practice nurse to join our existing clinical team. You will have excellent communication skills, and an ability to work autonomously, assessing, monitoring, and managing the care of our clients.

The role can be part or full time, and happy to discuss any flexible requirements.
The role will include:
– Routine nursing services
– Assessment and triaging of acute illness, to establish a diagnosis and ongoing management plan.
– Working closely with the doctors in assessing, managing and supporting complex medical cases (frailty, elderly, EOL, dementia) via undertaking assessments and developing and implementing care plans; liaison with family, other health/care professionals and overseeing continuity.
– Prescribing medication appropriate to the clinical conditions, and within scope of qualifications
– Being a point of contact for doctors in answering questions, provide clinical input into relevant clinical queries and providing guidance in areas of expertise
– Great potential to develop personally and professionally
The successful candidate(s) will be:
– NMC registered
– Possess a RGN qualification (required)
– Have appropriate prescribing/clinical assessment training
– Be a ‘team player’
– Be able to work independently and prioritise and delegate tasks
– Have excellent communication and organisation skills
– Clean driving licence, access to a car, and a willingness to travel
Experience of working in the community is desirable, but not essential.
