We are delighted to announce continued investment and service development with the launch of our new clinical nursing team.
The team will support Concierge Medical GPs and strengthen the practice resolve to provide valuable and complex care to members at home.
The team have a wide range of responsibilities, seeing members to assess and respond to their healthcare needs, carrying out vital signs monitoring, vaccinations, blood tests and wound care. The role is varied and most importantly, further allows us to provide our award-winning personal service and continuity of care to members in the comfort of their own home.
Sam Day joins Concierge Medical to lead and develop the nursing team. Sam brings a wealth of skills as an experienced practice and community nurse. Reporting to Sam are Katharine Willis and Skye Miller who will work under her guidance as clinical assistants.
This additional service offers added value to our members and operationally helps to support our GPs to manage their patient member care and facilitates members requiring more bespoke care packages. In addition, the service assists a sustainable business growth strategy as our practice continues to grow and thrive.
The team are focused on flu season, having hit the ground running with over 500-member flu vaccinations. If you see them on their travels, be sure to give them a wave!
As prevention is always better than cure, here are our six steps to avoiding flu this year:
- Get Vaccinated.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Wash your hands with soap and water often, use hand sanitiser if soap and water is not available.
- Cover your mouth and nose.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
- Practice other good health habits.
